Butaflex
Butaflex Phenylbutazone 200 mg/ml. No steroid antinflammatory; antipyretic and antinflammatory analgesic action. Indicated for the treatment of various alterations associated with the musculoskeletal system.
Use Indications
Injectable Butaflex is indicated in acute laminitis; arthritis, spondilitis, osteoarthritis, tendinitis, serious tenosynovitis, capsulitis, bursitis and rheumatism; reducing pain and inflammation in tissues as well as the fever in case of viral infections.
Injectable is used to increase the reproductive life of the elder stallions that suffers from osteoarthritis and other leg pain process.
In dogs it is indicate in acute uveitis, chorioretinitis, endophthalmitis, cornea and eyeball injuries.
Average Orientatiive Dosage
Injectable butaflex
Horses: 1 to 2 g/454 kg (2.2 to 4.4 mg/kg or 0.55 to 1.1 mL/50 kg) per day, the first day, in one application. Then reduce the dose in half for four more days. Do not exceed 4 g per day
Dogs: 22 mg/kg per day, (1.1 mL/10 Kg) divided in 3 doses.
Do not exceed 800 mg/day, regardless of dog weight.
